SA Curriculum Framework and The Australian Curriculum

Millicent High School’s curriculum is aligned with the SA Curriculum Framework and the Australian Curriculum, supporting the development of the whole learner through the integration of dispositions, capabilities, and knowledge.
Our approach builds deep understanding and supports students to apply their learning across a range of contexts, preparing them for learning, life, and work.
The curriculum is designed to empower students to:
  • Achieve personal excellence
  • Develop voice and agency
  • Build on their strengths, interests and motivations
  • Feel safe, included and valued
  • Contribute positively to society
Learning standards align with the Australian Curriculum, which sets high expectations across eight learning areas. General capabilities and cross-curriculum priorities are embedded within subject content, ensuring meaningful and connected learning experiences.
